Christmas Eve!!!

It's been awhile since I've posted...  Christmas was so busy with the usual events, although we tried to opt out of as many as possible to be able to stay home with our sweet new baby.  For Christmas Eve, we did the usual dressing-up and acting-out of the Nativity.   Our newest thing this year was Samuel the Lamanite (from the Book of Mormon.)  We got this idea from President Eyring during his Christmas message.  We have a landing about 15 feet up in our Family Room.  Jim used a huge ladder to climb up and use it for the city wall.  It was hilarious! The girls even got to throw rocks (tin foil balls) at him as he preached.  Really realistic.

The girls even put together a "manger" using barstools and a fuzzy pink blanket.  Check out the shepherd's staffs, which are really ski poles.

We even had a donkey this year - Gracie was nice enough to let Lexi ride her to Bethlehem.

Mary, Joseph and the baby.  The girls asked if I can have a baby at Christmastime every year so that we can always use a real one for baby Jesus.  Ummmm....
