A couple of weeks ago, Jim and I were working out in the yard all day on a Saturday and our enterprising girls decided that they'd set up a lemonade stand. We live on a pretty busy (dead end) street, so we get a lot of traffic on Saturdays. Also, they love earning money and probably end up earning about $2 a month for the chores they do... :) So it was a quick way to earn some cash.
They sold lemonade and cookies each for 50 cents a pop and made a whopping $17!!! They thought they were rich! We were so proud of their efforts!
Here's Sarah on her last day of Preschool with Ms. Laurie...Okay, for the past few weeks, we've just been crazily getting through each day, running everywhere. Too many events to list. Lots of fun stuff too. But we're FINALLY done!!! School's out! And for the next 10 weeks, all we have planned is.... nothing. We're so excited! The best news is that I don't have to scream at the kids every morning anymore! After 260 days of school, you'd think that getting dressed, brushing your teeth and putting on socks and shoes would be kind of second nature... Nope! The morning rush was never easy, but at least now, we don't have to do it anymore! Yay! So. I'm planning on not screaming at all for the next 10 weeks. And enjoying every minute of the kids. And saying "YES" way more often. Can't wait!
